Why Join ICDA?
There is no doubt that most counselors will face a client whose presenting problem revolves in some way around their job or career.
As counselors, it is important to understand the formal and informal assessment techniques to help us better formulate our cases so we can fully understand how work adversity might impact someone emotionally.
- ICDA is available to all counselors offering many resources.
- Assessment tool recommendations
- Consultation on cases
- Help you find resources on how to find out more about a particular occupation or industry
- Provide speakers for events
- And more…
ICDA also offers training in best practices in our field, and the funding we receive from our members helps us to offer these opportunities at a discount. Membership dollars also help us to develop resources such as our Job Search Skills packet and to keep our own website up-to-date.
